We encourage eligible students to apply for a scholarship programme.
This is a performance-based academic scholarship available only to new students in Years 7 to 13. The criteria for awards is based on academic achievement, although consideration is also given to achievement in sport and the arts.
The award covers part of the school tuition fees and financial hardship is not a consideration in awarding the scholarships.
If the principal believes a prospective student is worthy of a scholarship but they don’t meet the academic criteria, a request can be sent to the Director of Schools for special consideration.
To apply for an ACG Sunderland scholarship please download the scholarship application form and either scan and email to the school, or drop into the school reception during office hours.
If your family has four or more children enrolled at ACG Sunderland, a scholarship may be available, providing you meet ACG Sunderland’s enrolment criteria.
In a family of four children, your youngest child may receive a full tuition scholarship. If you have five or more children, you may be awarded a scholarship to the value of 25% of the total fees payable.
In both cases, the scholarship applies only while four or more of your children are fully enrolled at ACG Sunderland.
The ACG Founders’ Scholarship honours a group of people whose vision, expertise and dedication led to the establishment of the Senior College of New Zealand in 1995.
From 2018, one Scholarship will be awarded annually. The recipient will be a student who is currently studying at one of ACG Education’s secondary schools in New Zealand and who plans to commence a course of university study the following year. It may be held in conjunction with other awards.
The Scholarship will recognise outstanding academic ability as well as personal qualities for future success, such as integrity, leadership, boldness of vision and exceptional drive, energy and a capacity for work.
